There’s a love I don’t want
One that loves me enough to let go
That’s too sensitive; I can’t correct it
Always afraid the truth will break me
It’s too in a hurry to pay attention
That’s the kind of love I don’t want.
It’s so secretive no one knows it exists
Assumes it knows it all and needs no one
Learns only in words but never in deeds
Expects to be the centre of the universe
Is too afraid to watch you thrive
I’m talking of love that boycotts friendship
There’s a kind of love I don’t want
The kind that loves only when in a vagina
That’s the kind of love I don’t want.
